Daily Reflection

I felt a little better, enough to get back on the horse again, so to speak. My daughter and a couple of her school friends came with me to the rec center because they wanted to work out together. While they did their thing, I rowed 2,500 meters without stopping—which felt amazing.

After that, I did some weight training, focusing mostly on crunches. Then, I headed for the pool. I was able to swim 150 yards before my legs became too shaky. I sat in the hot tub for about five minutes, letting the jets massage my calves, arms, and back. Then, I went back into the pool and swam another 50 yards before calling it a day.

I admit I was pretty mellow and tired for the rest of the day—but in a good way. I spent the afternoon shopping with my daughter, making it an active and fulfilling Saturday.
