Daily Reflection

Tuesdays mean no classes, so I focused on a mix of rowing, weight training, and swimming. I managed to row 2,000 meters and burn 126 calories, followed by 15 minutes of weight training targeting my arms and core.

Swimming felt better today. I pushed myself a little further and completed 150 yards—a small but meaningful improvement over yesterday’s 100 yards. My endurance is far from where it used to be, but I’m already seeing progress, which is motivating.

On the hydration front, I finally hit over 100 ounces of pure water today! Small wins like this add up. I’m learning to appreciate the process and take things one day at a time. Progress, not perfection!

Today was hard and disappointing—I thought I would have exceeded 10,000 steps, but I didn’t. According to 75 Hard rules, I should start over—but forget that! This is already challenging enough without forced do-overs.

I talked to my husband about my frustration, and he reminded me that I probably did get 10,000 steps, but they weren’t all tracked. I take off my watch when I’m in the pool area and when it’s charging, meaning 90 minutes of movement went unrecorded. He’s absolutely right; I don’t charge my watch on a schedule; I toss it on when the 10% battery warning pops up. Plus, I never wear it in the pool because I don’t fully trust the waterproofing (and these watches aren’t cheap!).

The reality check? In 2024, my daily average was 3,500 steps. Now, I’m consistently doubling that! That’s incredible progress and something to celebrate. So, no, I’m not starting over—I’m pushing forward.
