Embarking on a journey of self-care often means making conscious choices to nurture our bodies, and one of the most fundamental yet overlooked aspects is hydration. For years, I struggled to break free from the grip of sugary sodas until December 2023 when I finally kicked the habit. Armed with a trusty water bottle that reminded me to drink at regular intervals, I embraced the refreshing embrace of pure water, consuming nearly 80 ounces a day. Though the ideal water intake may vary, I’ve found a personalized formula that works for me—half my weight in ounces, translating to around 85 ounces daily.
